3. Chargers are becoming very confident

It seems like it was just a few weeks ago when this Chargers football team was sitting at 0-4, staring at three straight games versus Oakland, Denver and New England. None of us thought Los Angeles had what it took to eventually dig out of that huge hole, but after their win over the Redskins in Week 14, they may be the hottest team in the NFL.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Since losing by two points to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4, the Bolts have won seven of their last nine football games. Not to mention, their only two losses in that stretch came by the hands of the Jaguars and Patriots – two teams who are currently leading their respective divisions.

Also, when you begin to look at each of their six total losses in 2017, you’ll surprisingly realize five of those games were decided by only one possession. Maybe this Los Angeles football was better than we thought all along.

Either way, each one of their seven wins have begun to change the attitude and confidence of this squad.

Plus, with a Week 15 date versus the AFC West-leading Kansas City Chiefs, the Bolts will definitely be playing with nothing to lose. Remember, when the Chargers were sitting at (1-4), the Chiefs were enjoying a comfortable (5-0) record of their own. Needless to say, the NFL season is long and unpredictable grind for each NFL team.
