In the pass-happy NFL of 2018, there are two things that’s integral to every team’s success. You need a good offensive line to protect your quarterback. Teams also need a good pass rush in order to get after the opposing quarterback.

Right now the Jets have neither. Even though Jordan Jenkins is improving, he’s not the edge rusher the Jets thought he’d be. Chubb is the perfect candidate to help set the edge with Jenkins. He has the size, strength and quickness to play outside linebacker in the NFL.

Chubb’s strength will help him get off blocks in the NFL and funnel running backs to the middle of the defense, setting the edge. His athleticism will help him get to the quarterback against NFL offensive tackles. His versatility allows him to play on all downs and makes him a dangerous edge presence

Chubb has had consecutive 10+ sack and 20+ tackle for loss seasons for the Wolfpack. Having two outside linebackers who can set the edge is key. Additionally, the Jets have a middle linebacker in Demario Davis who has shown an ability to stop the run and rush the passer. His presence can only help this defense moving forward.
