Oakland Raiders: 5 Sleepers to target in 2018 NFL Draft
3. Skyler Phillips, OG, Idaho State
The Oakland Raiders have arguably the best trio of starting interior offensive linemen in the entire NFL. The Raiders start guards Kelechi Osemele and Gabe Jackson along with center Rodney Hudson. That is as good as it gets.
Despite their incredible starters, the Raiders lack legitimate depth on the inside. It is far from their biggest need, but I would like to see the Oakland Raiders add a depth piece to their interior offensive line mix.

An early round addition inside is unlikely, but targeting the position in the later rounds would be wise. In particular, Skyler Phillips would seem to be an extremely strong fit.
Phillips is a big and powerful offensive lineman who absolutely dominates at the point of attack. His ability to engage and beat up opposing defenders in short spaces is awfully impressive and he knows how to take advantage of his strengths as a player.
With his powerful style of play, Phillips is an impressive run blocker who would fit the Raiders’ power running offensive scheme extremely well. His ability to open holes in the run game is awfully impressive.
Phillips also shows quick feet on the inside. He reaches the second level extremely well and shows impressive ability to mirror in pass protection.
Simply put, Phillips is as strong as an ox and can absolutely dominate at the point of attack. The Oakland Raiders are becoming a traditional power rushing offense and they need to find the personnel to fit their style of play. Phillips certainly fits the bill, and as a late-round sleeper, he would not take a huge investment.
