Cornerbacks (4): Jourdan Lewis, Chidobe Awuzie, Byron Jones, Anthony Brown

The Cowboys could go four or five-deep with cornerbacks, but in the end they decide to stick with four. Chances are they bring someone onto their practice squad for that fifth-spot, with Marquez White being the primary candidate.

As it stands now, the starters should be 2017 draft picks Jourdan Lewis and Chidobe Awuzie. Both players were promising in their rookie seasons and led the team to a place where they felt comfortable moving on from veteran Orlando Scandrick.

Behind them is Byron Jones, the former free safety who is moving back to corner. Jones could end up taking a starting spot as he’s incredibly athletic and lengthy enough to stick with tall receivers. As he gets comfortable with the spot again though, he’s the all-important third corner, although he likely still plays outside and Lewis slides in to cover the slot.

The position is rounded out with Anthony Brown. He was a great surprise as a rookie in 2016 after being taken in the sixth-round, but last year was a step back. He still is a pretty solid option this late and has a lot of starting experience. He can also play the slot, which isn’t easy to do.
