O-line surprisingly struggles

In what may have been the biggest shock of the night, the Green Bay Packers offensive line struggled throughout the game.

Byron Bell struggled the most. The offensive tackle/guard acquired from Dallas earlier this offseason was a surprise start over Jason Spriggs.

We don’t know what that “something” is, unfortunately. It must have caught Bell off guard too because he didn’t have a good game at all. Brett Hundley’s interception came because Bell couldn’t win his one-on-one blocking assignment. Hopefully, Spriggs is back next week so Bell can move back to guard.

Bell wasn’t the only one who struggled either. Kyle Murphy started the game at left tackle. On the Packer second offensive series, he let Harold Landry strip sack Hundley. Luckily the Packers recovered but it still doesn’t take away from the fact that he allowed that fumble.

That play proves how much David Bakhtiari means to this team. Hopefully, he is back for week one of the regular season like many have reported.

Next. “Grumpy” Aaron Rodgers is what team needs. dark

Overall, the Packers only gave up three sacks but there are definitely things that need to be worked on before next week’s preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
