The preseason is in full swing for all 32 NFL teams. So what were the five best moves this offseason when it came to the defensive end spot?

It’s almost hard to believe. There is less than two weeks remaining before the start of the 2018 NFL regular season. Training camps are winding down throughout the league. And the third week of the preseason is almost completely in the books.

So now is as good a time as any to take stock of this offseason and check out the best additions by teams when it comes to specific positions.

This series started with the offensive side of the football: Quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end and the offensive line. Now it’s time to look at the other side of the ball. As the adage goes, defense wins championships and teams addressed this area in a big way — especially when it comes to getting after the other club’s quarterback.

So here’s a glance at the five best offseason moves when it came to the defensive end spot. This list includes four experienced pass rushers and one rookie who has potential written all over him.

It’s also worth noting that three of the five choices here came via the trade route. Regardless of how they got there, all are expected to make a huge impact this fall. So who exactly are we talking about here?
