Philadelphia Eagles: 2018 Season preview, prediction and more
By Jeremy Klump
Quarterback
The Eagles offense has been well documented this offseason. Wentz was the big story, as he is recovering from his torn ACL. There was always a debate whether he would be ready for Week 1 in 2018, and now that debate is officially over, with the Eagles announcing that Foles will start the season as their guy.
Foles won Super Bowl MVP in 2017 but has looked horrible in the preseason. Philly fans are hoping he can bounce back to postseason form and help them secure a couple of wins before Wentz is back.

Running back
Philadelphia has one of the best running back rooms in the NFL. For starters, future Hall of Fame running back Darren Sproles will be back and returning from his injuries last season. Sproles is a third-down specialist, and the save veteran adds a dynamic element to the Eagles offense. Jay Ajayi, whom the Eagles traded for last season, will likely carry the load, but Super Bowl hero Corey Clement will also be an impact for the offense.
Wide receiver
Wentz has received all the coverage with his injury, but Alshon Jeffery has an injury that is also worth monitoring. He will not start the season, and it will be interesting to see how he bounces back from shoulder surgery. Nelson Agholor should have another good year and look for him to cement himself as one of the best slot wide receivers in the NFL.
Mike Wallace was one of the more underrated additions this offseason, but do not sleep on Wallace, as he will be the deep threat in a high powered offense.
Tight end
Philly drafted a tight end named Dallas, Dallas Goedert, who will play behind Zach Ertz. Both of these tight ends will make an impact in the offense. Ertz was one of the best tight ends in the NFL last season, and the addition of Goddert will make the Eagles offense a matchup nightmare when both him and Ertz are on the field.
Offensive line
One of the best offensive lines in the NFL gets their Hall of Fame left tackle back from injury, Jason Peters. The addition of Peters to an already dominant offensive line will give whoever is taking snaps at quarterback the time to succeed. Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, and Brandon Brooks all are looking to get back into Pro Bowl form.
Summary
This offense is really, really good. Once Wentz is back, you could easily make a case that they are the best in the NFL. Look for them to score a ton of points and at times be unstoppable.
