2019 NFL Mock Draft: Browns, Cowboys, Packers add weapons
1. Buffalo Bills: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
When I spoke of teams that should likely trade down from the top of the draft, the Buffalo Bills were definitely in mind. Looking over their roster, they are so depleted of talent that it’s scary. I would love to see them move down and improve their offensive line while also accruing capital to address other areas moving forward.
Without trades, however, they take the best player in the 2019 NFL Draft class, Ed Oliver out of Houston. He’s as close to Aaron Donald as we’ve seen at defensive tackle and he should be an instant force in the league.

- Pittsburgh Steelers rookie sleeper everyone should be talking about
- Anthony Richardson putting jaw-dropping talent on display immediately
- Denver Broncos’ stud wide receiver might be out for a while

2. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State
The Arizona Cardinals are another team that I wouldn’t mind seeing trade down and address offensive line as they, like the Bills, need to protect their 2018 investment in a young quarterback. Again, they stay here and improve their defense that has been quite bad to start 2018 with Nick Bosa. Though the Ohio State star is out indefinitely recovering from core muscle surgery, he’s a beast off the edge and, if the Cards did nab him, would make a force opposite Chandler Jones.
3. New York Giants: Drew Lock, QB, Missouri
One thing that many New York Giants fans are already lamenting is taking Saquon Barkley instead of a quarterback, something I wasn’t a fan of doing in the moment. Now they have Eli Manning continuing to look washed and the offense looks stagnant. Drew Lock, however, would change that. The big-armed quarterback from Missouri has shown massive improvements from 2017 and appears to be the best quarterback of the 2019 class.
4. Houston Texans: Jonah Williams, OT, Alabama
Protect Deshaun Watson. That’s what the Houston Texans should have been interested in doing this offseason, but after missing on Nate Solder in free agency, were unable to do much of anything to do so. Subsequently, they’re paying for it. Jonah Williams can come in Day 1 and protect Watson’s blind side though. He’s a tactician and a force on the edge with technique unmatched by any tackle in this draft class.
