Randall Cobb, Wide Receiver

Randall Cobb needs a bounce-back week after his disaster at Washington. He had two crucial drops that would have led to first downs in the game. He also fumbled on a crucial drive late as the Green Bay Packers attempted a comeback. The Packers have to face one of the more stingier defenses this week. The Bills defense allowed just six points last week to one of the better offenses in the league.

Their No. 1 cornerback, Tre’Davious White, held Stefon Diggs in check all game. But the Vikings No. 2 receiver, Adam Thielen, had a great game despite the rest of his team floundering. He recorded 105 receiving yards on 14 receptions in the loss to Buffalo.

However, Cobb was a late addition to the Packers injury report on Thursday. If he is not able to go on Sunday, watch for Jimmy Graham and one of the rookie receivers, especially Marquez Valdes-Scantling, to fill his role.

Also, Davante Adams has a chance to move to the slot if Cobb isn’t active. That could mean that Tre’Davious White won’t cover Adams all game. However, if the Bills were smart they would keep White on Adams for four quarters.

It will be interesting to see who’s active and who’s not on Sunday. The gameplan can change in a matter of moments. That can prove to be beneficial as the Bills may not know who is going to be out there. So even if Cobb doesn’t play, he remains a player to watch as his injury will impact how the Bills gameplan.
