32. C.J. Beathard, San Francisco 49ers (30)

The San Francisco 49ers fell to 1-3 on the season which is a far cry from what they hoped for. It’s not an ideal start and it won’t get much easier without Jimmy Garoppolo who tore his ACL. C.J. Beathard isn’t a terrible backup, but he’s not an ideal long-term starter.

31. Josh Rosen, Arizona Cardinals (32)

More from NFL Spin Zone

While the Arizona Cardinals lost the first start of Josh Rosen’s career, he did show he belongs in the NFL.

He has all the tools to succeed and didn’t let a shaky start shake his nerves. He should be better the more he plays. The one knock seems to be his demeanor, but that could also work in his favor. If he doesn’t get rattled by bad plays, he should have no problem shaking things off and continuing to let the ball go.

30. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills (27)

Good Josh Allen tore up the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3 and everyone was shocked. Bad Josh Allen and his Buffalo Bills were shut out by the Green Bay Packers in Week 4. His ceiling is high, but his floor is low. There will be a lot of highs and lows early in Allen’s career.

29. Sam Darnold New York Jets (28)

Ever since Week 1, Sam Darnold looks like a guy who needs time to develop. The New York Jets believe he’s their future, but he has to find a way to move the ball — even if the opposing defense is good. He also needs to protect it much better too.
