Nick Perry, Outside Linebacker

Despite the fact that the Green Bay Packers have 16 sacks so far this season, Nick Perry only has 1.5 of those. After signing a huge five-year deal after the 2016 season, Perry hasn’t produced as many hoped.

This season, he has been relatively quiet except for his game-sealing sack in the Packers week one victory. For someone who was expected to lead a thin group of pass rushers, it has been very concerning. Perry has been a limited participant in practice so far this week as well. After suffering a concussion earlier this season, he has to nurse an ankle injury too.

On Saturday, Perry came off the injury report, so he will play Monday Night.

There is no better team to force pressure on. The 49ers have allowed 18 sacks this season, tied for fourth-most in the league.

The Packers were able to get to Josh Allen a couple of weeks ago, sacking him seven times. They face C.J. Beathard who is more experienced but isn’t a good quarterback either. If they can get to him early and often, it will be a long day for the 49ers offense.

If Perry wants to make a little noise and prove to people that he deserves the contract he signed last year, he needs to be active in the Packers pass rush very very soon.
