5. Barkley gets a double-triple

While there will still be those who think the New York Giants should have gone quarterback with the second pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, it’s hard to say that they made a poor choice with who they did take.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Saquon Barkley has been fantastic this season for New York. After 10 games he has 728 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. He’s also already pulled in 64 receptions for 540 yards and three more scores. It’s not unbelievable to think he will hit 1,000 yards rushing as well as 100 receptions on the year.

It also isn’t crazy to think he’ll take advantage of a struggling Philadelphia defense. In Week 10, they struggled to contain Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys who ran for 151 yards and had six receptions for 36 yards. Last week, Mark Ingram ran for 103 yards and Alvin Kamara added 71 on the ground and 37 yards on one reception.

This week, their issues with the backs continue as Barkley will take off for over 100 yards both on the ground and through the air. He’s come close to the feat once as he had 130 yards on the ground and 99 through the air in Week 6. That was against the Eagles, so it’s not a stretch to think that he can improve in Week 12.
