Chicago Bears: 3 Big takeaways from win vs. Packers in Week 15
Trubisky had a clean game
One of the criticisms that came out of last week’s terrific game against the Los Angeles Rams was Trubisky’s performance. He admittedly had a bad game, throwing for three interceptions. Many feel that Trubisky’s play will determine how far the Chicago Bears go in the playoffs.

Well, Trubisky ran the offense flawlessly. He made good decisions and didn’t try to do too much. He felt the pressure to make big plays against the Rams. He wanted to take it to them and was too pumped up. He overthrew a lot of passes and threw many too hard, hurting his accuracy.
None of that happened against the Packers. He stayed calm, cool, and collected. He finished the game completing 20 of his 28 passes (71.4 percent) for 235 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 18 rushing yards, using his feet to avoid sacks and convert first downs. Most importantly, he didn’t throw any interceptions.
This is the kind of performance the Bears need from Trubisky in order for them to make noise in the playoffs. He doesn’t have to complete 30-, 40- or 50-yard bombs. He just needs to keep control and have the offense score some points to win games.
If Nagy can try to keep the cute plays to a minimum (especially in the playoffs), Trubisky can keep control and help take the Chicago Bears deep into the playoffs.
