5. Dirk Koetter

Keeping the trend going of disappointing teams that failed to live up to the hype, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are right up there with the Denver Broncos when seeing how this team showed signs of being a contender early on in the NFC.

Just like Joseph, the Buccaneers were considering the possibility of parting ways with Dirk Koetter after the team failed to live up to expectations last season, and now that it’s happened again, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Talent wise, there’s no reason why a team like Tampa Bay should be coming up short of reaching the playoffs, especially when looking at all of the talent on the offensive side of the football. Even though the Buccaneers have switched back and forth at quarterback between Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick, any offense with a duo of Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson at receiver should find plenty of success.

Since the Buccaneers are coming off a third loss in a row after falling to the Dallas Cowboys, not even a win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17 seems like it would save Koetter from his job as head coach. In a way, a fresh start could be the best option for both parties since they seem to be holding each other back, as the last two years have shown.
