Super Bowl 53: 20 Potential MVPs for Patriots vs. Rams
By Dan Parzych
20. Dante Fowler
Back in the offseason, the Rams made it clear they were in win-now mode by bringing on any player on board that seemed worthy enough of giving them a better chance to make a run at the Super Bowl.

Even though Dante Fowler was acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars in the middle of the regular season before the trade deadline, this turned out to be another key move by Los Angeles that paid off in a big way when looking at his surprise impact on defense.
Unfortunately, Fowler’s NFL career got off to a rough start in one of the worst possible ways after the former first-round pick suffered a torn ACL during the first day of mini-camp for the Jaguars back in 2015.
Once Fowler finally became healthy, Jacksonville would watch their young defensive star record 12 sacks from 2016-17, but watching him struggle the way he did this past season was frustrating after he recorded just one sack with eight combined tackles in seven games.
Turns out, a fresh start with the Rams seems like the best thing that could have happened for Fowler’s career when looking at the impact made during the regular season along with the playoffs.
With a chance to become a Super Bowl on top of a potential new contract down the road, expect Fowler’s motivation to be higher than ever when taking on the Patriots.
