3. Flacco joins team with potential

Ever since Peyton Manning decided to call it a career, the Broncos have been viewed as a team that was a reliable quarterback away from returning to the level of being a top contender in the AFC.

After two years of trying to address the situation, Denver felt confident enough in Case Keenum being the answer to their problems during the 2018 season, which unfortunately wasn’t the case.

With the Broncos’ defense led by Von Miller establishing a reputation for being one of the top units in the league over the last couple of seasons, it was frustrating for the group at times to always feel like they were coming through on their end, only to watch the offense come up short.

Demaryius Thomas may no longer be part of the picture after Denver traded the veteran to the Houston Texans before last season’s deadline, but a younger group of receivers led by Courtland Sutton along with Emmanuel Sanders already being there could make things easier for Flacco.

The Ravens deserve some credit since they made it clear early on they would be willing to work out the best possible deal for Flacco after all he’s done for the organization over the years, and while the Broncos still have a lot to prove, at least this situation has potential for the veteran.
