WR Breshad Perriman

Before the season, who would have thought that Breshad Perriman would be considered a quality free agent signing? The former 2015 first round pick busted out of Baltimore, where he was cut this past offseason after three seasons of constant injuries and dropped passes. He landed in Cleveland partway through the 2018 season, and needless to say, he parlayed himself into a healthy payday in free agency.

While Brown’s general manager John Dorsey has publicly stated that he is working with Perriman’s agent about a deal to stay in Cleveland, there is a feeling that he mat see how much he could demand on the open market. On only 25 targets in 2018 with Baker Mayfield throwing him the football, the 6-3 speedster was able to haul in 16 catches for 340 yards and two scores.

While on the surface those numbers do not look impressive, he averaged 21 yards per catch as he found himself on the receiving end of numerous Mayfield deep balls, and displayed reliability as he caught more than his fair share in clutch situations on third down as well.

Don’t expect Perriman to be too pricey, but given his efficiency in 2018, it would bot be a shock to see him get around $7-8 million on his next contract. While odds are that he stays in Cleveland, there is a chance he could hit the open market, and if he does, Seattle should have a call into his agent.
