5 Wide receivers for New York Jets to target in 2019 NFL free agency
By Cory Kinnan
Cole Beasley
The seven-year veteran Cole Beasley is set to hit free agency after seven productive seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, and after his comments about the Cowboys’ front office, it is a safe assumption that he is not going to be in Dallas in 2019. With the Jets in need of a surehanded slot receiver, Beasley could be on their radar.

While Beasley has never hit the 1,000 yard peak in his career, he has provided a quality security blanket for Tony Romo and Dak Prescott over his time with the Cowboys. His production does not warrant a deal like Jarvis Landry got with the Browns last year around $15 million annually, and his services could likely be obtained on a short term two or three year deal around $5-7 million annually.
In his career, Beasley has caught a total of 319 balls from Romo and Prescott and has tallied around 3,300 yards on those receptions. He has also scored 23 touchdowns in his career and three in 2018.
However, despite his drop in production with Prescott under the helm, it is Beasley who was targeted on third downs and in clutch situations for the Cowboys and can bring that same reliability to New York for the Jets.
