3. Support of a strong defense

Instead of looking at all of the struggles surrounding the Jaguars as a team during the 2018 season, the one focus Foles needs to look at is the potential surrounding this team to get back on track next year.

As Eagles fans remember well, the Super Bowl LII champions were pretty close to facing Jacksonville in the big game instead of the New England Patriots since the Jaguars blew a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter of the AFC Championship.

While the offense came up big at times, the main reason behind the Jaguars even being in this position in the first place was due to their elite defense being one of the top units in the league.

Even this past season when Jacksonville jumped out to a 2-0 start, the team seemed like they were on their way to being a top contender in the AFC once again before it all fell apart after Week 2.

One of the selling points the Jaguars could easily make to Foles is the support he would receive from the defensive side of the football doing their part to make life much easier for him under center running the offense.

This may not seem like the biggest deal in the world, but when taking a closer look at some of the other quarterback across the league that fail to receive the necessary help from the defensive side of the football, it would certainly help Foles feel better.
