5. Matt Paradis comes in to play center

The Jets have some serious needs all along the offensive line. While the guard position clearly needs an upgrade, they were even worse at both offensive tackle and center. Due to this, there are many mock drafts that have New York landing Jonah Williams with the No. 3 overall pick in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft.

That would be a wise move as the best way to help a quarterback improve is to get him a blindside protector. As for the interior spots, the front office will need to look at the free agent market. There are a couple of available guards who they could target, but there’s only one stud center — Matt Paradis from the Denver Broncos.

Last season, the starter for eight games at center was Jonotthan Harrison and he’s projected to be the starter should the roster remain unchanged. This isn’t ideal, which makes landing someone like Paradis even more important.

According to Pro Football Focus (subscription required), Paradis was the second best at his position in the NFL. He won’t come cheap, but the Jets have the money and he will be well worth it.
