Breshad Perriman

His career was dead and gone after being cut by the Baltimore Ravens prior to the 2018 season, the former 2015 first round pick looked like a flamed out bust. Due to a string of injuries at the wide receiver position part way through the season, the Cleveland Browns brought Breshad Perriman in for a workout, inevitably signed him, and potentially resurrected his career.

More from San Francisco 49ers

While his stats do not look like someone who had a breakout season, Perriman was a blur on the field, constantly burning defensive backs and finding himself on the other end of Baker Mayfield deep balls. He finished his shortened season with 16 catches, 340 yards and two touchdowns.

After cutting Pierre Garcon, the Niners now need another weapon for Jimmy Garoppolo to throw to. While rumors of a potential Odell Beckham Jr. trade linger, Perriman would be a much less expensive option to take a look at in free agency.

Unable to come to an agreement on an extension with the Browns, Perriman is set to test his market and he may ultimately see more money than Cleveland is willing to offer. With the Niners in the market for a big-bodied replacement for Garcon, keep an eye on Perriman.
