Round 1, Pick 21: Cody Ford, OL, Oklahoma

In need of an upgrade to their offensive line, even after re-signing D.J. Fluker, the Seahawks snag Cody Ford out of Oklahoma with their first round pick here. Struggling to keep franchise quarterback upright throughout the entirety of his career, the Seahawks have failed to address the position correctly for too many years.

Last year, choosing to select a running back with their first round selection who struggles to see the field, and in the past missing on players like Germaine Ifedi. If Seattle wants to continue to build off of last year’s momentum, getting Wilson the protection he needs is a must.

Ford is an ideal fit for the Seahawks as he has the athleticism to fit in a run heavy scheme and has the versatility to play at both tackle and guard, giving the Seahawks the flexibility to tinker with their offensive line, which they love to do.

Blocking for back-to-back Heisman Trophy winners in Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, Ford now looks to preserve the talent of Wilson.
