49. Cleveland Browns: Justin Layne, CB, Michigan State

With no picks int he first round, the Cleveland Browns have to wait until No. 49 to make their first selection. Finally on the clock, they honor the request of Michigan State cornerback Justin Layne.

The Cleveland native asked the team to bring him home and they do that here. It’s not just about him being a hometown guy either as Layne is the perfect compliment to Denzel Ward and gives the Browns a great starting cornerback duo.

50. Minnesota Vikings: Zach Allen, DT, Boston College

Whether it’s as a three-technique or a strong-side defensive end (or a combination of the two) Zach Allen will be a beast on the defensive line in the NFL. He’s technically sound and always around the ball. Minnesota prides itself on a great defensive line and Allen helps them keep up that tradition.

51. Tennessee Titans: Garrett Bradbury, OC, North Carolina State

The work Garrett Bradbury has done leading up to the draft has some scouts talking about him as a potential day one pick. He takes a little longer to come off the board in this mock but will be about as safe of a pick as there is in the 2019 class.

52. Pittsburgh Steelers: Nasir Adderley, S/CB, Delaware

Still trying to shore up their secondary, the Pittsburgh Steelers grab Nasir Adderley out of Deleware here. He has the cover skills to play corner but was also used at safety in college. He could do either in the NFL, but it depends on who drafts him and where they see him as the best fit.
