5. Sean McDermott

One year after helping the Buffalo Bills become one of the biggest surprises from the 2017 season by earning one of the Wild Card spots in the AFC, the team took a bit of a step back last year after only winning six games.

However, unlike most head coaches feeling pressure heading into the 2019 season, Sean McDermott actually finds himself in a good situation since the Bills seem to finally have a quarterback they feel confident in building the franchise around.

Some Buffalo fans were unsure over what kind of player Josh Allen would be at the NFL level, but the young quarterback provided plenty of excitement to the offense during his rookie campaign in 2018, which no one saw coming.

Now, it’s up to the Bills to make sure their beloved quarterback has the necessary weapons on offense to succeed moving forward, and McDermott realizes the importance of adding an elite receiver in the draft if given the opportunity.

Allen may still have plenty of areas in need of improvement, but hopefully a year of experience under his belt will help take some of the pressure off McDermott during his third season as head coach. to give Buffalo a fighting chance in the AFC.
