The Baltimore Ravens’ defensive front has always seemingly taken a back seat to the team’s playmakers at linebacker and in the secondary. Of course, that usually goes with the territory when it comes to the 3-4 defense — especially when you open up a game with only two defensive linemen.

Over the last few years, the team’s three-man front has been anchored by underrated Brandon Williams. This past season, he finished with 34 tackles and one sack and was named to his first Pro Bowl. He was also a big reason only three teams in the NFL allowed fewer rushing yards per game than John Harbaugh’s club

In 2018, he was joined up for the most part by five-year pro Brent Urban, a 16-game starter this past season, as well as part-time starters Chris Wormley, Michael Pierce and Patrick Ricard. Meanwhile Urban, a far better run defender than pass-rushing threat, remains an unsigned free agent.

While he was limited to only three games in his first season with the Green Bay Packers, could the Ravens add eight-year veteran Muhammad Wilkerson to the rotation up front?

A starter for all but four of his 108 games, he would be a great addition to a team that has its share of young players. The one-time first-round pick of the New York Jets (2011) owns a career resume of 44.5 sacks, 11 forced fumbles and 29 pass deflections and was a Pro Bowler in 2015.
