Seattle Seahawks: 7-Round 2019 mock draft with two weeks to go
By Cory Kinnan
Round 1, Pick 21: Clelin Ferrell, EDGE, Clemson
With the 21st pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Seahawks select Clelin Ferrell, the pass rusher from the University of Clemson. Ferrell started the pre-draft process as a projected top-ten pick, but as other players have jumped him. Ferrell has not done anything to hurt his stock, but is falling due to the success of others.

During his junior season with the national champion Tigers in 2018, Ferrell tallied 20 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks. Over the three years that he started for Clemson, he recorded 50 tackles for loss and 27 sacks and capped off his collegiate career by dominating fellow first rounder Jonah Williams.
Ferrell did not complete many tests at the combine, but measured at 6-4 and 264 pounds with enormous 34-inch arms. He hit 25 reps on the bench press last month in Indianapolis while running a 4.4-second shuttle and a 7.26-second 3-cone drill. While Ferrell’s athletic ability is relatively a mystery, his film shines as bright as a diamond.
By selecting Ferrell, who seems to continue to slip, the Seahawks could bookend him with Clark long-term if they sign the Michigan man to a new deal, or they have a replacement on hand if they wind up trading Clark. With the 21st pick in the draft, Seattle gets an absolute steal in Ferrell.
