3. Hope Singletary slips to the fourth round

Better yet, would Devin Singletary be worth trading up for in the second or third round? At the moment, the Florida Atlantic product is projected to go in the fourth round this weekend, but also there’s always the chance of a team deciding to take Singletary earlier than expected.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Numbers wise, Singletary has some of the most impressive from this year’s draft class when taking into consideration that he rushed for 54 touchdowns over the last two seasons, which is insane to think about.

Clearly, Singletary has proven to be a reliable running back when near the goal-line, and the one advantage of waiting until the middle rounds would be Oakland can focus their earlier picks on other needs.

Carr may now have one of the league’s best receivers to work with in Antonio Brown, but a quarterback can always use a reliable option in the backfield, and one can only imagine the kind of underrated boost Singletary would provide to this offense.

Of course, as mentioned before, the one factor that could come into play here is whether Singletary is even available when the Raiders select at No. 106 since plenty of other teams will be considering the running back as well.
