33. Arizona Cardinals: D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

With their first pick, the Arizona Cardinals ended all the drama and took quarterback Kyler Murray. There were rumors that this was the pick for months, but many thought there could be some deception coming out of the desert. That ended up not being the case as first-year head coach Kliff Kingsbury got himself a quarterback that he believes he can win with.

Now back on the clock, Kliff Kingsbury and the Cardinals draft a player they believe will help Murray take the next step as they grab Ole Miss wideout D.K. Metcalf. He needs to work on his route tree, but the underclassman is a physical specimen and can beat defenders deep with ease.

34. Indianapolis Colts (via N.Y. Jets): Cody Ford, OG, Oklahoma

After making a move out of the first round, the Indianapolis Colts are on the clock for the first time here at pick No. 34. With that selection, they land Oklahoma guard Cody Ford who joins a suddenly improving offensive line which was bolstered by the selection of Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson last season.

General manager Chris Ballard is being praised for his amazing turnaround but much of that has to do with Andrew Luck returning. Even so, he’s putting the right pieces in place and does what he can to keep Luck on the field here.
