Quarterback (2)

Dak Prescott, Mike White

There’s no debate at all about who the No. 1 quarterback is with the Cowboys. Dak Prescott may have his share of doubters, but he’s the heart and soul of this team. He’s a true leader and his teammates will run through a brick wall for him — mostly because they know he would do the same.

Prescott has evolved as a passer too, even though he still has some work to do. He enters this season with a 66.1 career completion percentage with 10,876 yards passing and a 67-to-25 touchdown-to-interception ratio. On top of that, he has 944 yards on the ground with 18 touchdowns (six in each of his three campaigns).

For the past couple seasons, Cooper Rush has been the primary backup to Prescott. However, they drafted Mike White out of Western Kentucky in the fifth round in 2018 and he has the inside track to the No. 2 job.

In years past, Dallas has gone with just two quarterbacks on the roster. Look for them to do the same this season unless Rush just proves to be too far ahead of White at this point. If so, they may lose an extra receiver or offensive lineman.
