Safety: Anthony Harris, Minnesota Vikings

Contract: One year, $3.095 million

Last season, the Minnesota Vikings started the year stacked at the safety position. Harrison Smith and Andrew Sendejo were already on the roster, but then they added George Iloka after he was cut by the Cincinnati Bengals.

Iloka gave them three solid options to start, which could have come in handy after Sendejo was injured. However, Iloka wasn’t the player they turned to as Anthony Harris took the reins. A former undrafted player out of Virginia in 2015, Harris started nine games and had 46 tackles with three interceptions.

He signed a restricted free agent tender in the offseason, which was good for just over $3 million. This salary makes him one of the best bargains in any secondary.

Safety: Clayton Geathers, Indianapolis Colts

Contract: One year, $2.75 million with $750,000 guaranteed

Another great bargain at safety is Clayton Geathers of the Indianapolis Colts. He hit free agency after starting 12 games last season and recording 89 tackles. He visited with the Dallas Cowboys but left without a contract and wound up returning to the Colts for just $2.75 million. He enters his fifth season still looking for his first career pick, but Geathers is a solid strong safety who excels at tackling.
