A year ago, it’s safe to say that the Los Angeles Rams had their way with their NFC West neighbors. This was the only team in the league to win all six of its division games in 2018 and Sean McVay’s squad totaled at least 31 points in each of those victories.

In order of appearance, the final score of those wins read 34-0 (Arizona Cardinals), 33-31 (Seattle Seahawks), 39-10 (San Francisco 49ers), 36-31 (Seahawks), 31-9 (Cardinals) and 48-32 (49ers). It adds up to a combined 221-113 count.

All told, the Rams own a 10-2 divisional record since McVay took over in 2017. And one of those losses was a 34-13 setback at Los Angeles on the final Sunday of the 2017 regular season as the newly-crowned NFC West champions rested numerous starters in preparation for the postseason. In 12 games vs. their divisional rivals these past two seasons, the Rams have put up at least 31 points in 10 of those contests — all wins.

Still, the New England Patriots showed that the second-highest scoring team in the league in 2018 could be slowed down. The Rams’ 13-3 loss in Super Bowl LIII marked only the second time in the championship series’ 53-year history that a team failed to score a touchdown. Of course, when it comes to the NFC West, McVay and company haven’t had many issues moving the ball and racking up points these past two seasons.
