3. Jaguars receiving corps is young

Remember all of the potential surrounding Jacksonville’s receiving corps not too long ago with Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns? This is the perfect example of how quickly things could change in the NFL since both players are no longer part of the picture for the Jaguars. And while Jacksonville has to love their current group of younger receivers with potential, they’re still a work in progress.

Players like Dede Westbrook and DJ Chark provide the Jaguars with hope over what the future holds at wide receiver for this team, but until they can prove to be consistent enough, adding a veteran like Pryor could help in the mean time.

As mentioned before, Pryor may not be anywhere close to the same level as most receivers across the NFL, but he does have the kind of experience that could benefit some of the younger players.

Even if Jacksonville’s defense managed to return to their effective level from the 2017 season, a team like the Jaguars can only do so much without the proper support on offense, meaning if Pryor can help, the move seems well worth the risk.

If not, well at least Jacksonville can always move on down the road if necessary, but there’s no reason to have that kind of mindset just yet since training camp hasn’t even started.
