32. New York Giants (19)

The New York Giants were hoping to turn a corner in 2018 after bringing in new general manager Dave Gettelman. He was a former scout for the team and had some success with the Carolina Panthers in the past, which gave them some hope. However, that hope has quickly faded as he’s had a run of questionable decisions since taking the job.

After hiring a coach in Pat Shurmur with a rough record on his resume, Gettleman then passed on a quarterback in the 2018 NFL Draft. They went with Saquon Barkley instead, who is a phenomenal talent but it left them with Eli Manning as their franchise quarterback still. A 5-11 mark ensued and they still needed a quarterback in the worst way.

To finally address the position, the GM added Daniel Jones out of Duke, who is in the same mold as Manning but without the pedigree or college success. Perhaps he will develop into a stud, but it seems as though Dwayne Haskins would have been the better choice.

On top of that, New York also traded away Odell Beckham, Jr. a year after signing him to a five-year, $95 million extension. They got a couple of draft picks and a starting safety, but there’s no way they can replace what OBJ brought to the table.

Making matters worse, they have even opened the door for a quarterback controversy after spending the whole offseason praising Eli and saying he had years left. In the end, this team seems much worse off than they were in 2018.
