Buffalo Bills: College position groups to watch for 2020 NFL Draft

SMU Wide Receivers
The SMU Mustangs have become a wide receiver powerhouse. The last decade or so has produced the likes of Cole Beasley, Trey Quinn, Aldrick Robinson, Emmanuel Sanders and Courtland Sutton.
Beasley is a current member of the Buffalo Bills and has had a solid NFL career up to this point. Sanders has been a big-play threat for almost a decade, averaging 13.1 yards per reception with 28 career touchdowns.
The 2019 SMU Mustangs have a pair of quality wide receivers set for the NFL. Both Reggie Roberson Jr. and James Proche are NFL talents. Roberson transferred to SMU from West Virginia in 2018 and made an instant impact. The 6-0, 195-pound wide receiver hauled in 52 passes for 802 yards and six touchdowns in his debut season. He is excellent in traffic, winning most of his 50/50 balls in the air. His strong hands and body concentration make him a force down the field.
My only concern as of now is that Roberson really struggles to win over the middle due to lackluster route running. He relies on his natural talent far too often. I expect Roberson to be available at the end of the third round as of now. He comes in at 80th overall in my summer scouting report.
His teammate, James Proche, is another stud. Proche is another smaller guy, standing 5-1 and 195 pounds. Proche caught 93 passes for 1,199 yards and 12 touchdowns as a redshirt junior in 2018. He is a dynamic slot receiver who utilizes quick cuts over the middle to create space. Like Roberson, Proche has incredible body control when leaping for grabs near the sideline.
Proche isn’t nearly as good in contested situations, but he is a reliable inside receiver that can move the chains consistently. I have James Proche inside my top 100 of my summer scouting as well. Bills fans should keep an eye on these two young men throughout the season.
