29. Cincinnati Bengals (31)

Moving on from Marvin Lewis is a bittersweet thing. Yes, he’s arguably the best coach the Cincinnati Bengals have ever had and he took them to the postseason seven times. However, he never won in the playoffs and the past couple of years, things seemed to get stale.

Lewis even resorted to cheap tricks to try and steal wins against the Cleveland Browns last season. After the firing of their head coach, Hue Jackson, Lewis made up a special assistant title and brought him in — with two games on the schedule against Jackson’s old team.

While moving on was the right move for both sides, the Bengals are taking a chance with Zac Taylor. Yes, he knows Sean McVay which obviously makes him fit for a head coaching gig, but in reality, we don’t know what he will bring to the table because we haven’t seen it yet — not even at the coordinator level in the NFL even.

Cincinnati will also need to see quarterback Andy Dalton get back to the level of play he showed back in 2015 when he was at his best. Taylor aims to help with that but until we see progress, they’re gonna hang in the back of the NFL Power Rankings bus.
