Fantasy Football 2019: Biggest potential bust at each position
Biggest Bust QB: Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
People may immediately be thinking: In what world is Aaron Rodgers a bust? That world is this one and there are simple reasons as to why. First, Rodgers now only has one trustworthy receiver on his team with Randall Cobb moving on to Dallas. Davante Adams is now the only wideout with chemistry with Rodgers now on the roster.

While Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison have both shown promise and could do well with Rodgers, it is not the same. Unfamiliarity with his weapons does not help Rodgers’ cause whatsoever and, while fans may see this as unimportant, there are two more factors to this equation.
The injury history Rodgers is not something to overlook when it comes to drafting him in fantasy football. Rodgers has finished as QB 1 in fantasy football on four separate occasions in his career. However, he has also finished outside the top five in four seasons, including last year — usually due to injury.
Selecting a quarterback that has been inconsistent where he ranks at the end of the season with an ADP of 55th overall (either sixth or fifth round depending on 10- or 12-man leagues) is not worth the headache at all when you can wait on other quarterbacks like Russell Wilson or Jared Goff in the later rounds.
On top of all of this, Rodgers will be playing in a new system. For the first time in his career he will have a head coach other than Mike McCarthy. Matt LaFleur will take over the job and will establish his own system that could very well focus more on the running game than the Packers did under McCarthy. Aaron Jones has shown he can be a star running back, which means it’s time to unleash him.
With all these factors working against Rodgers, he really is not worth the possible headaches of taking him where he’s currently going in fantasy drafts. There are simply options being selected in later rounds who may very well outscore him, much like Matt Ryan last year, who finished as the QB2.
