3. Richie Incognito, OG

The Oakland Raiders have done a pretty good job of creating noise this offseason. From Antonio Brown to Vontaze Burfict, Gruden and company have added a combination of talent, hyperbole and perhaps hope for talent that has seen better days.

Richie Incognito is one of those players some say the Raiders could have done without. But if there was ever a league willing to take one last look at a player who once had that ”something”, it’s the NFL.

While Burfict and Brown are plug-and-play in 2019, Incognito is much more of a “wait and see” to outright reclamation project. He’s also a player who could be in the waning days of a sketchy and troubling career.

Three things are working against Incognito; a cap hit under $600,000, a looming two-game suspension and some depth at his position. When you add all that up, he’s an easy cut unless something spectacular comes from him against the Packers.

At 36 years of age, it’s hard to see the Raiders doing more than they have to for Incognito to earn a roster spot. Perhaps if the suspension wasn’t out there, or he was flashing signs of his better days, he would be further down a list like this. But odds are he was more of a longshot than Gruden would ever say.
