Record: 13-3
It would be fair to say the Saints don’t have an overly difficult schedule. The team put up a 13-3 record last season and are facing all three of their losses from last year this season. It’s not easy, but the Saints thankfully have a decent Week 1 matchup that will likely end in a win.

Week 2 gets a bit more challenging against the Rams who put up a good fight against the Saints during the regular season but ultimately went to the Super Bowl instead. The Rams-Saints matchup is arguably the most exciting and was the biggest toss-up on the list.
The Saints and Rams are both promising teams, but the Saints were able to put a good fight against them in the regular season and win. No doubt it’ll be a close game, but I think the Saints have the upper hand this time.
Another early-season game the Saints have to win is against the Cowboys, who broke New Orleans’ winning streak last season Without Ezekiel Elliott, though, the Cowboys are more vulnerable than ever. The rest of the schedule likely won’t be a problem until the Saints meet up with the Bears as Khalil Mack will be on the hunt for Drew Brees. As good as the Saints O-line is, they might not be able to hold back Mack.
After the Bears, the Saints have a relatively easy schedule as they’re taking on the AFC South which is currently in disarray with injuries and retirements. As for their final two losses, the Saints and Falcons sometimes split their series along with the Panthers so that’s nothing new. The Saints might be able to get a win over either team but more than likely, it will be a split.
The Saints are every bit as good as they were last season so keeping their record the same isn’t a big deal. Usually, the team gets tripped up against their division rivals so losing to them doesn’t make much difference. Their major obstacle is going to be Khalil Mack and the Bears’ defense but that’s the best case for the Saints’ regular season.
