Fantasy Football: 5 Replacements for Tyreek Hill
4. John Brown, Buffalo Bills
ESPN Ownership Percentage: 35.3
There’s no doubt that the Buffalo Bills attempted to get Josh Allen more weapons this offseason, though many people downplayed the players they added, one of which was John Brown. In Week 1, though, Brown showed why he’s a great fit for the second-year quarterback. The speedy deep threat looked the part in the comeback win against the Jets.

Brown finished the day with seven catches for 123 yards and a touchdown, good for 26.3 fantasy football points in PPR leagues. Allen may not be a perfect quarterback but he throws the ball a mile and Brown is the perfect type of wide receiver to capitalize on those types of plays. He’s going to be a key part of this offense and should be added to replace Hill and perhaps kept on even after Hill comes back.
3. John Ross, Cincinnati Bengals
ESPN Ownership Percentage: 4.8
To say that John Ross has underperformed since arriving with the Cincinnati Bengals would be a severe understatement. Despite breaking the 40-yard dash record at the NFL Combine, he’s not been able to stay healthy and hasn’t been a big part of the offense when he has been on the field. With A.J. Green out of the lineup to start the season, that changed dramatically.
Ross looked like the dynamic big-play threat that people hoped he’d be against Seattle, catching seven passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns. His 34.8 fantasy points rank him as the WR3 in the league after one week of football. And while that type of production isn’t sustainable, if he’s put it together as it seems he may have, Ross could be well worth the add with Tyreek Hill sidelined.
