2. Calvin Ridley

Another standout performer for the Atlanta Falcons in their Week 2 bounce-back victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football was young, promising wide receiver Calvin Ridley.

After putting together a solid performance to kick off the regular-season schedule in the Week 1 loss to the Vikings last week in Minnesota, Ridley returned to form once again on Sunday against the Eagles and had another impressive showing for his team on the outside of the field and within the offense.

Ridley, who is in his second season in the NFL and with Atlanta in 2019, finished the game on Sunday with over 100 yards receiving for the first time this season. Ridley recorded a total of 105 yards receiving in the victory, trailing only fellow wideout Julio Jones in leading the Falcons wide receiving corps in the Week 2 matchup. With a total of eight receptions on 10 targets, Ridley also finished with one touchdown and tallied an average of 13.1 yards per catch in the game.

On the year, Ridley has continued to be a nice piece within this Atlanta offense and is off to a strong start to the regular-season schedule following his stellar rookie campaign a year ago.

Through two weeks of action, Ridley has totaled 169 yards receiving on 12 catches and a total of 16 targets. For the second straight week on Sunday, Ridley was also able to record one touchdown reception to bring his season total to two touchdown catches heading into Week 3 next Sunday.

Ridley provides Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan with yet another dominant option on the outside of the field to pair nicely alongside another star wide receiver in Jones within the Atlanta offensive unit. In Sunday’s Week 2 victory, he once again showed up and was one of the star performers in the game to help the Falcons tally their first win of the 2019 regular season.
