3. Remaining schedule could work to Steelers advantage

Starting off the new season against the defending champions in the Patriots before hosting the Seahawks for their home opener turned out to be tougher than expected for the Steelers, but there’s still over the remaining schedule.

Rightfully so, the Baltimore Ravens have made a strong statement through two weeks over being the team to beat in the AFC North since the team has watched the offense explode with Lamar Jackson under center.

As for the rest of the competition for the Steelers, well the verdict is still out there over whether the Cleveland Browns will have what it takes to live up to the offseason hype of taking a step towards becoming a Super Bowl contender in the AFC.

By entering Week 3 winless, Pittsburgh may seem to be at a disadvantage compared to the rest of their rivals within the division along with the other serious contenders in the AFC, but there’s plenty of football remaining.

Not only do the Steelers still have to play each of their six games within the division, but Pittsburgh has favorable matchups against teams such as the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals.

In other words, if Pittsburgh plays their cards right, finishing the regular season with a winning record to help secure a playoff spot could end up being easier than expected, even without Big Ben under center.
