5. Fans will never be let down

There are few things worse about being a fan than being disappointed. AFC East mates of the Dolphins, the New York Jets, seem to perpetually fall into this category. The team makes big flashy moves throughout the offseason and every fan gets talked into the hype train.

Then the season starts and things get off to rocky beginnings. Yet they maintain hope of things turning around. Only that time never comes. The team is a disappointment and the fans are left with a bad taste in their mouths, having been burned by the team that they’re loyal to. And the good thing for Dolphins fans is that they have no worries about this happening.

Look, there may have been some people prior to the Tunsil trade that tried to talk themselves into the Dolphins being better than they were projected to be. But given the quality assets that they’ve now traded away, there is no mistake that this team is going to lose and lose badly. And if that wasn’t clear enough, losing 59-10 to the Ravens in Week 1 and following that up with a 43-0 defeat at the hands of the Patriots made it obvious.

It might be tough to watch but there is something to be said from knowing what you’re getting. Dolphins fans don’t have to worry about their team letting them down, specifically if they give in and expect them to lose. That’s exactly what you’re going to do and, if you give in and embrace it, you’ll never be disappointed.
