4. Dallas defense forces three turnovers

If there was anything to be upset about in the Cowboys second win, it was the fact that they left some turnovers on the field. On the first play of the game, Washington quarterback Case Keenum went deep and it looked as though Dallas cornerback Byron Jones was the intended target. The ball hit him in the hands but he was unable to haul it in.

Later, strong safety Jeff Heath had a clear path at an interception but didn’t see where the ball was. Instead, he went straight at the defender to deliver a hard shot. Lastly, free safety Xavier Woods read a play beautifully and jumped the route. With no one in front of him, Woods had a clear path for a pick-six, but bobbled the ball and was unable to hold on.

This week, they look to make amends. Facing an 0-2 Miami Dolphins team that recently switched from Ryan Fitzpatrick to Josh Rosen. While Fitzpatrick had thrown four picks in his two starts this season, Rosen hasn’t fared much better in his young career.

As a rookie with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018, Rosen threw 14 picks against only 11 touchdowns in 13 starts. He came in during their last game while New England was blowing them out and threw two more. Expect him to put more up for grabs in this game, while also being susceptible to some strip-sacks due to the struggling offensive line around him.

Whether it be interceptions or forced fumbles, this bold prediction is that the Big D defense will force three turnovers in the upcoming game.
