3. Carr explodes for 400 yards, four touchdowns

The Vikings defense is nothing to get excited about. In Week 1, Minnesota gave up a ton of yards to Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, to the tune of 304 yards on 33 competitions against 46 attempts.

While the Vikings defense was improved against likely Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr will have a better game. If the first quarter against Kansas City is any indication, he could have the kind of game that makes people think MVP.

Carr is better than the greater part of Week 2 would have you think. Oakland was playing from behind after the Chiefs went off for 28 points in the second quarter. Carr forced a lot of passes, and despite some opportunities, the Raiders weren’t able to get within striking distance in the second half.

Kirk Cousins won’t be confused with Mahomes at any point on Sunday. He’s remarkably average at a position that demands more. Whenever the moment demands greatness, he misses the mark in a way that makes you scratch your head at the payday he scored as a free agent.

Head to head, Carr scores and scores often. The Raiders quarterback has the kind of day that erases a bad game against a team who will win the AFC West. In Minnesota, Oakland moves their season record to 2-1.
