4. John DeFilippo (Jaguars Offensive Coordinator)

John DeFilippo wasn’t let go by the Minnesota Vikings for his ineffectiveness, but rather for his ultimate disagreements philosophically with head coach Mike Zimmer. Now with the Jacksonville Jaguars, though, DeFilippo has more than proven his worth as a talented offensive mind, keeping the Jags afloat despite losing quarterback Nick Foles in Week 1 and replacing him with sixth-round rookie Gardner Minshew.

While Minshew deserves some credit for that, DeFilippo deserves more. The former Eagles assistant has adjusted on the fly to tailor the offense to his young, mustachioed quarterback to put him in position to succeed. Those types of adjustments and departures from scheme rigidity are the mark of a great potential head coach, which should pique the Washington Redskins’ interest.

3. Kellen Moore (Cowboys Offensive Coordinator)

31-year old Kellen Moore has been turning heads in his first year as the Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator. Though the Cowboys are coming off of two disappointing losses, the offense has still made great strides in the switch from Scott Linehan to Moore calling the shots. He’s brought creativity and modern concepts to an offense that desperately needed it.

Though inexperience is a concern when it comes to potentially hiring Moore, he might be the right type of hire for the Redskins. If Washington were willing to take the risk on a young head coach, they could be setting themselves up for a Sean McVay-like rise as Moore could grow with Dwayne Haskins and a rebuilding, young roster.
