Stud: Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs got involved in Minnesota’s passing game and in the offense as a whole early and often in the Week 6 victory over Philadelphia, putting together perhaps his best performance of the 2019 campaign to this point.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Behind two big receptions in the opening half of the game to help the Vikings stretch their lead against the Eagles, Diggs went on to lead all receivers in the game with 167 yards receiving and three touchdowns on a total of seven catches and 11 overall targets. For Diggs, his name has been in the media for a lot of drama-filled reasons as of late. But in the Week 6 win on Sunday, Diggs was the biggest positive for Minnesota en route to the victory at home.

Dud: Vikings running game

Minnesota’s running game wasn’t horrible or non-existent, but it wasn’t nearly as explosive or as dangerous as we’ve been used to seeing leading up to the sixth week of the regular season.

Part of the reason behind that was due to the fact that the Vikings passing attack was taking the game over, but another part of their struggles running the ball was squaring up against one of the top rushing defenses in the NFL on the other side of the field.

Overall, Minnesota finished with 122 rushing yards on the ground with one touchdown on a total of 35 rushing attempts. It wasn’t the biggest dud in the win on Sunday, but the Vikings running game wasn’t nearly as powerful as we’ve seen to start the year coming into Week 6.
