NFL Trade Deadline 2019: 5 Landing spots for A.J. Green

Outside chances
When writing this article, I also considered the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles making a move for Green. However, the Eagles have decent receivers. They’re just dealing with injuries. Once DeSean Jackson returns the team should improve. Also, the secondary needs to be the main focus for Philly at the trade deadline.

As for the Bears, Mitchell Trubisky isn’t a great quarterback to begin with. Spending the draft picks to get Green when he wouldn’t even be utilized to his fullest potential seems wasteful. Although, the Bears do need to add a receiving weapon outside of Allen Robinson.
The Baltimore Ravens were another team I considered. The team’s leading receiver is tight end Mark Andrews. Rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown is second in yardage and Willie Snead is third. However, Brown’s stats are stacked because of a Week 1 breakout against the Miami Dolphins. Since then, his numbers have been average.
The Ravens do not crack the top five because I don’t see a scenario in which the Bengals feel comfortable trading Green to their divisional rivals. I say “rivals”, but it’s been a one-sided beatdown between the two teams in recent history. Either way, the Bengals don’t want to risk giving Green to the Ravens. The only way Green could end up in Baltimore is if an unrealistically large offer was made.
