Seattle Seahawks (5-2) at Atlanta Falcons (1-6)

Sunday, October 27, 1PM ET

I’m not going to sugarcoat it — the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens was a bummer. The offense struggled to get going, Russell Wilson threw his first interception of the year, and Lamar Jackson proved too hot for the Seattle defense to handle.

As luck would have it, Week 8 presents the Seahawks with an ideal opportunity to get back on track. They’re heading across the country to take on the Atlanta Falcons, who have gotten off to one of the most disappointing starts of the 2019 season. The offense could very well be led by Matt Schaub, and the defense has been pathetic for a Dan Quinn-led group.

Speaking of Dan Quinn, he’ll be facing off against his former team in what might be his last game as the Falcons’ head coach. Yes, it’s gotten that bad this season. I know injuries have played a huge role in Atlanta’s fall from grace, but they’ve still got the talent to win games. And yet, they’re doing the exact opposite of that — they’ve lost their last five (soon to be last six).

Wilson is going to shred this Falcons secondary, and Chris Carson figures to do a fair share of damage on the ground. When the clock strikes zero, Atlanta will be wishing they’d stayed home instead of showing up for what could very well be a whooping.

Prediction: Seahawks win 37-14
