18. Dolphins win first game of 2019

As previously mentioned, the Miami Dolphins seemed determined after Monday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers to finally earn that first win of the season, and if all goes well on Sunday, it may finally happen against the New York Jets.

Rivalries will sometimes bring out the best in teams, and if the Dolphins were looking for the perfect team to beat within the division, the Jets seem like their best bet.

Back at the beginning of the season, Miami seemed like a strong candidate to go 0-16, but the last few weeks make it seem like this team is capable of winning at least a few games if they continue to play with high motivation.

Ryan Fitzpatrick certainly doesn’t rank up there with some of the other top quarterbacks in the league, but the veteran’s heart makes it seem like he will do whatever it takes to make sure the Dolphins don’t go winless in 2019.

New York’s defense will certainly be a challenge, but after seeing how close Miami came in Pittsburgh, that first win could finally come on Sunday for the Dolphins to start November off on a hot note.

If not, well Miami could be in even more trouble when looking at their upcoming schedule beyond Week 9.
