3. Allen busts through Packers secondary

It can’t all be sunshine and roses for the Packers as they hit the road to California. As good as Green Bay has been this season, they have not been exceptionally dominant in their wins. Perhaps their most dominant performance of the year came in Week 5 against the Cowboys when they jumped out to a big lead. However, they took their foot off the gas and still let Dallas climb back.

A big reason for that has been the inconsistency of the Packers secondary, especially when playing with a lead. Guys like Jaire Alexander and Kevin King have flashed brilliant levels of play this season but have also had their share of mishaps — and that’s especially true as you go deeper on the depth chart.

Despite how much the Chargers offense has been stumbling this season, Philip Rivers and Keenan Allen have kept their connection alive and well when the wide receiver has been healthy. Just last week with Allen at less than 100 percent, he still got 10 targets that he turned into seven catches for 53 yards, despite playing only 31 snaps for the game.

He’s healthier now and he’s going to be targeted heavily again. Because of the up-and-down play of the Packers and the fact that Green Bay is likely going to put up a ton of points, the Chargers offense will go through their leading receiver and Allen will shine. If he ended the day with fewer than eight grabs and 120 yards, I would be surprised.
